I'm not sure what's gotten into Ethan, but he's been such a boy lately. Still cute and cuddling up to me every now and then, but he's also grunting a lot and showing his aggressive side (more towards inanimate objects than people, thank goodness). He's getting really frustrated when he can't open the kitchen cabinet doors, and he'll try to climb out of his high chair and exersaucer when he's bored. Oh, and taking him out to a restaurant? Not happening for a long time...Nothing in our bag of tricks is enough to let us eat in peace, so we might as well not bother!
Last night when we were trying to go to sleep, he started singing "do do do do do". It got to the point that my parents came into my room to tell him, "It seems like we have to wait for you to go to sleep before we can!" They proceeded to close my door and hopefully got to sleep soon after that!
This week, we managed to visit Becky and the twins and Erin and the boys. Ethan was fascinated by Gabby the cat as he's never seen a cat that close-up before. We didn't get to see too much of Simon, but Ethan did the typical "I want to play with what HE'S playing with" while playing instruments with Ben, who was more than cooperative ;)
Today, we're just enjoying some Eggo waffles for breakfast and watching the birds land on our deck for some food that we've laid out for them. I really miss these quiet mornings. Will have to really soak it in for the next few weeks before we head back. Did I mention that I'm flying with him alone this time? Ugh...

my boys enjoyed eggo waffles to while we were home! (so did andy and i!!) as for restaurants, its all about timing. taking him for a walk while the food is coming. we order the boys food first so they are eating while we are waiting then our meal comes then they get their dessert while we are finishing up...
