1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Becoming a father.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I've given up on new years' resolution for good. It dramatizes the importance of any good intentions that comes with the resolution.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Not very close, but yes.

US, Italy, Japan, China, Hong Kong (current abode)

7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Election Day 2008. Because yes we can.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Relearning how to be myself.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Having to relearn how to be myself.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Reinjured my left knee.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
It's not really my purchase, but Tracy's MacBook is just yummy...

Ethan's walking

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Ethan's manic crying at 3am for now apparent reason.

Ethan's diapers, and clothes, and formula, and toys, and

There are people out there doing a lot worse and be grateful for what I have.

Barack Obama (although fancy isn't the word I'd use. More like hero-worship)

A cousin of mine (circa 1995) with whom I am no longer on speaking terms.

A friend from CMA who is never too busy to care for people around him, even though it's always busy.
